1. Cruise Northern Europe

I did it many times and have heard over the years. Cruising is the best way to travel. Although you rarely see me on a boat, I have always enjoyed the cruise ships. I remember a time in my twenties when I was invited on a yacht of a rich, beautiful people that the women in my audience would go stare. I refused the invitation, although I was later in life to a yacht club, I was constantly tired and carefully boats. Unlike large cruise ships, with smaller boats, there is always some risk of accidents is lurking just around the next turn.Even the wild rapids of cold water rafting in Costa Rica have been more acceptable. It was safer than a small boat, for there were no surprises, I was fully aware of the danger, therefore, better prepared. The Rapids will be vigilant and alert all the time. The calm still water in the ocean on a small boat is uncertain, but relaxing and you could soon forget, take heed of the potential hazards. Cruise on the other hand, it is much safer. The ship is enormous, as a rule, some have even a bowling alley or miniature golf on board, they are so big. You can feel like they in a hotel by staff and experts that are there to protect them all the time surrounded. This is somewhat illusory, since there was rape, reduced mortality and the disappearance of several of the great lines, it is still a popular travel choice. There will be certainly for me for a long time. So long as one is educated about the risks and dangers, almost everything is secure. It is important to have all the information whenever you plan vacation. That said, I decided to take one day at a Northern European Cruise. It seemed as if all was excited to board the ship on that day, in Dover, England, many years ago. The ship was previously mainly by Norwegian Cruise Lines, and had been bought recently owned by Royal Caribbean Lines. They were almost all new staff on this trip around the globe, including the two chefs who were from the Caribbean and England. Everyone rushed joyfully through the boarding lines as fast as they could. The hosts lead the guests at the door, past the staff, the implementation of the tablet form of cocktails in glasses, the dining room where the lunch buffet was provided. Initially, all filled their plates and glasses, and seemed quite relaxed and looking forward to a great cruise with a fabulous new crew. It was not too long before the passengers began the food was not to learn what they had expected. Every morning, the lines in the front lobby by the Customer Service Desk was larger. up, made almost exclusively by older women who got nothing but complaints from day-to-day. I have learned from experience that if I every midnight buffets, I would only gain six pounds per cruise skip. On this trip, the food was so bad, I lost six pounds. It was the only ship that I ever had this kind of experience, most trips, including this line, an excellent cuisine. But the track was so varied and wonderful, I had nothing at all, however. On days at sea, I hurried past the complaining women to the spa and then the pool. I relaxed in my room, or sitting on deck reading in the late afternoon. The only food I was able to eat, room service sandwiches or hamburgers at the restaurant on board. Most of what I ordered was on the children’s menu. However when we came into port, I, like many of the other passengers rushed to the nearest bars and restaurants in the city. In Sweden I have tasted the best ketchup, my son has the pasta. In Norway, I had the best fish. In Finland, I dined at a wonderful little cafe, but the price was very expensive. In Copenhagen, I was looking for Tivoli and dined in the park in East Germany, I have a pretty loud place near the beach, the delicious duck.In Russia had found, though I could not find what I have I cared for a snack at the Ballet. In evening while driving to the next port of call I would stroll from the ships stores. I could not avoid the even longer line of women at the reception. The children seemed happy as she was eager to join to their new friends. I was happy, the children enjoyed their meals, I also have to continue what they had. Although it worse food I have ever experienced on a ship that was, I found it one of the best times I ever had. I have been there on other trips of this line and never happen again, know that the northern route is one of the best. The right price, but also has a large number of countries to tour, and most of the time on almost all ships, including the Royal Caribbean Line, has delicious food. I wish you a nice time with your next journey into the deep blue water on the way to Northern Europe or wherever you plan to make sure. Bon Voyage.

  3. The Best Orange County Vegetarian Restaurants

Vegetarian Shepherd’s Pie As a vegetarian I am always on the lookout for a great recipe that my whole family to enjoy, even the non-vegetarians. And as a single, working mother, I am always on the lookout for a rich, tasty meal that will not take long to prepare. I have always Shepherd’s Pie that meat, vegetables and potatoes concoction that I had as a child, but now that I no meat I eat something like that, wanted to create only without the meat loved. I experimented a few times until I was right, but with a little practice, I finally have the right one. This is my vegetarian version of Shepherd’s Pie. Ingredients 2 tsp flour 2 tablespoons butter, ½ cup vegetable broth 2-3 cups mashed -1 vegetables of your choice, mushrooms, onions, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, peas, corn, potatoes 1-2 cups grated cheese, spices, garlic, onion powder, curry powder , salt, pepper Preheat oven to 350oF. Cook or the vegetables until they are soft but not mushy. Prepare mashed potatoes with either potatoes or instant potatoes. Set the potatoes aside and the vegetables. Place the butter and flour in a frying pan over medium heat. As the butter melts, stir until the flour mix, then slowly the broth a little at a time until it forms a thick sauce. Depending on how much food they need, you may need to add more vegetable stock. You want the sauce thick but not too thick. If the sauce is too thin, you can take a bit more flour, a tablespoon at a time, but always under constant stirring or they get lumpy. Add the spices to taste. Once the sauce is the thickness of a cream soup, add the vegetables. Hold the stirring until all are coated well, then turn off the heat and pour the mixture into a casserole. Spread the mashed potatoes on top of the mixture and sprinkle grated cheese. Bake for about 10 minutes, until potatoes are lightly browned and the cheese has melted. Allow to cool for about 5 minutes to allow to thicken the sauce a bit and then serve. This is the kind of meals that can stand on its own, as they vegetables and a starch, potato has. But it’s also good with a rice dish or a few biscuits or bread. Preparation: 10 minutes Cooking time: 10 minutesTotal: 20 minutes

Travel to South America in many regions, particularly from January to March (the South American summer), is the most important vaccination for yellow fever.Your chances of contracting yellow fever disease during the voyage to South America are slim even if you are not vaccinated, and almost no if you are vaccinated according to U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC). Less than one death per year since 1970 has been reported for U.S. citizens traveling to South America, and in each case the passenger does not vaccinated.Still CDC reports, “Since late 2007, reports of yellow fever in both humans and monkeys in areas of South America has increased. In Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay, risk areas for yellow fever was extended in 2008. seen by the recent reports of yellow fever among humans and apes in southern Brazil and northern Argentina, the spread of yellow fever virus appears to continue in 2009. “Beyond that, the odds of contracting yellow fever when traveling to South America is not relevant in one respect: Whether you would take the risk, you will not have access to most nations unless you can show evidence of having received a yellow fever vaccination.Yellow fever is a virus transmitted by mosquito bites, which can cause severe hepatitis and blood bleeding. More than 100,000 Americans killed in her home for 18 people and 19’s, until a vaccine was developed at the beginning of the 20th century. Specific vaccinations are required for typhoid, hepatitis A, diphtheria and rabies, along with yellow fever. CDC describes Argentina, Chile, Easter Island, Falkland Islands, Uruguay and South Georgia and South Sandwich Islands, which presents “temperate” climate. Weather conditions in any other South American nations described as “tropical”, which increases health risks during hot weather.Travelers to South America should take steps to minimize mosquito bites, such as using insect repellent and wear loose clothing. 5. Fall Movie Preview

Thanks to the merging interests of a Washington Heights resident and Coliseum Cinemas entrepreneurs, Northern Manhattanites get to first-run, non-commercial art, documentaries and independent films in the vicinity of your home in those days. Together, Michael Kassin, and the owner of the historic Coliseum Cinemas at the 181st Road taken against the industry rates, the successful Coliseum Cinemas Movie Club on a cold January night in 2005 and became the first club 2006 film screen, the Oscar-hope Johnny Cash story, “Walk the Line”, Thursday 26 January at 8 clock Kassin, husband and father of three-year-old twins, dishes part-time writer and full-time Partner Public Relations, a full schedule and was tight on the lookout for a way to meet obligations when he approached to ask owners Coliseum end of 2004, what would it take to get some of the films, he is obliged to vote on the award as a member of the Screen Writer’s Guild. Co-owner, said Mark Burgios that had he and his business partner Jesus Nova and Nick Guadagno recently bought and renovated the theater had already given the idea of one of their screens films devoted to the art if Kassin approached them, it was a “no child’s play on a green light as long as he could attract enough interest to make it financially feasible to give. Kassin showed the neighborhood was eager for this type of venue, as it was in 180 people for a screening of “Ray,” and the film club off to an illustrious start red carpet: you had to use two theaters on the first night on place for all. Since “Ray” in the film club at least one movie per month, reviewed more often. Burgio elaborated, “We want to show not only movies. We try one of the writers, directors, or come to know one of the main players to speak. “As the association” regarded Mad, Hot, Ballroom, “the acclaimed documentary in 2005 with Washington Heights school children, the film’s director, Marilyn Agrelo spoke and answered questions from club members. The association strives to film events and social community-oriented, often serve wine and cheese to make in advance. Kassin, remembers one of the couples that joined last year, said the film was the first night that since the birth of a child three months earlier and that they are upset that they can only walk a few blocks away for a day in their neighborhood. The association creates a win-win situation for all. Burgio notes, “it makes the theater for people who would not necessarily be interested in Hollywood movies.” Kassin details reprint the irony of the club for the success: “This club is all that Hollywood says you can not do that. Here, people over 25, advanced reservations to art movies have come to a week night. “And it is quite remarkable that even today are mostly either commercial hits cinemas or art films, rarely ventured competing audience mix, such as the Colosseum. Viewed in historical context, it seems fitting that should be experienced Coliseum Cinemas stellar heights with their film club. The former Grand Theatre opened in 1920, then became the second largest cinema seating, in New York City, second only to Madison Square Gardens. Although the theater is now divided into four theaters, sports stadium seating for 125-177, then it was almost 4,000 and took all the current adjacent rooms on the ground floor shops. Today it is the only cinema in the town north of 125th Street and the only theater showing art films on the west side north of 66th Street. The club future is bright. January and February will be devoted to the club to its Academy Award-series. As of January is “Walk The Line” they will have two or three nights club in February. March is planned for a short documentary films and also that they are discussing a classic series. In the future Kassin hopes for a year is worth the club films have planned, and a club website is currently in the testing phase. Kassin reported excitedly that New Line Cinema approached the club and expressed interest in cooperating with them. You can connect the Coliseum Cinemas Film Club for an annual fee of $ 25 per person or $ 35 for couples and families.
